Server Log File

The Print2RDP Server includes an optional logging feature for troubleshooting. The log file contains information about the communication between the Print2RDP Server and the Print2RDP Client(s). If multiple clients are connected to the server, the log file will include communication details for each client. The best practice is to limit logging to a single client connection.

Logging can be enabled by the system administrator at any time by checking the Enable Debug Log checkbox. To specify the location of the log file (.log) on the server, please click the Browse button and navigate to the desired directory, or enter the location in the Debug Log Folder field. If the entered directory does not exist, the Print2RDP will prompt the user to confirm whether to create the new directory.

The default directory for the log file is: C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Print2RDP

Click the OK button to activate the selected directory for saving the log file. The Print2RDP will create a new log file every day, and the filename will include the date the log file was created.

For example: Print2RDP Server Debug Log 9-26-2024.log

To open the directory where the log file is stored, click the Open Debug Log Folder button.

To disable logging, uncheck the Enable Debug Log checkbox and click the OK button.
