Black Ice Software has released the Batch Converter product line with several new additions such as using Foxit to print PDF files and converting specific pages of a document! Also included in this release is the updated document converter printer driver along with many small but important improvements and fixes.

The Document Converter Server, BiBatchConverter and Print2Email Automatically detects the default Foxit, Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat Pro.

The “convert specific pages” option is useful in both automated printing and Batch conversion applications. In the legal field, case documents may require to convert/print only the first 3-5 pages. In the transportation, Insurance, and banking industries, some documents may only need to convert/print the first few pages.

The “convert specified pages” feature was added to the user interface of Auto-print SDK samples, BiBatchConverter Service Manager and Document Converter Server. This new feature takes advantage of the Printer Driver’s new "Pages to Print" feature.

• Stability improvement for removing the content based/mail merge tags from the Text Output (#11589)

• Added option to specify the printed pages in the Printing Preferences (#10347)
• Changed the Printer Drivers to write lowercase extensions by default, added INI file option to write uppercase extensions (#11635)
• Changed default text output format to "Text with Layout" (#11644)
• "pmd" extension is removed automatically from the document name (#11680)
• Updated PDF DLLs to version 3.0.5.709
• Stability improvement for scaling in some objects in PDF format (#11478)
• Improvements in rendering underlined text in PDF format (#11524)
• Improvements drawing of images in PDF format in high resolution (#11525)
• Updated BiOCR.dll to version 12.71.732
• Stability improvement for the "Closing filter" feature on some systems (#11533)
