Printer Driver 14.17 is released!
Significantly Improvements in printing speed!
Microsoft KB2998812 Windows Update will slowdown of printing or printing will fail for large multi-paged PDF documents. Microsoft KB2998812 Windows Update will prevents printer driver to delete temporary font files.
Black Ice Software has released the Printer Driver 14.17 for Microsoft KB2998812 Windows Update, including improvements font handling that drastically reduced the printing time, on every operating system, for printing PDF documents. The effected printer driver are TIFF/Monochrome, ColorPlus, Color and PDF printer drivers.
Beside the reduced printing time, version 14.17 includes improvements for the Printer Driver MSI Installers to handle the damaged User profiles on server operating systems, includes improved error handling for communication errors during registration, and improvements for printing with "Enable advanced printing features" unchecked.
The complete list of improvements in the latest Black Ice Printer Driver include the following:
