Most application including Microsoft Office Product is using the default printer resolution as the document resolution DPI (Dot Per Inch) at the time the document is created. The default printer setting and resolution (DPI) is stored with the document. Fax resolution (DPI) is lower 204 x 196 DPI or 204 x 98 DPI then most printer resolution 300x300 DPI or 600x600 DPI. Since the fax resolution lower than the original document resolution, MS Office reformats the page based on the Fax resolution and may shift the first page content to the second page.
Solution:
Make the Impact Fax Broadcast printer driver the default printer driver.
Open MS Word with an empty new document.
Create and prepare the fax document.
Print document to the Impact Fax Broadcast.
If the document is already prepared in MS Word the document, the document has the original printer driver resolution stored with the document.
Change the document resolution to fax resolution by selecting File > Page layout > Size and select Fax Paper.
Go to File > Print. The preview should show the document page layout for faxing using the Fax Resolution.
If need it, edit your document to fit one fax page with Fax resolution.
The prepared one page fax document is faxed as two pages.
The reason one page document is faxed as two pages, because the document was prepared with a high resolution 300 DPI or 600 DPI printer as a default printer. The Document must be prepared with Fax Printer resolution.
