Remote Desktop using Terminal Services Easy Print

 

Problem Description: When printing to a Black Ice printer driver through Remote Desktop using Terminal Services Easy Print the printed document is incorrect. For example the spaces between characters are wrong.

 

Solution: Please uncheck the “Enable advanced printing features” option in the printer properties at the client side the printed document will be correct.

 

Do the following steps to disable the “Enable advanced printing features” option (Note: These steps were created on Windows 7):

 

  1. Open Devices and Printers dialog.

  2. Right-click on the specified printer and select the Printer properties menu item.

  3. Go to Advanced tab.

  4. Uncheck the Enable advanced printing features check box:

  6. Click OK.

 

Note: After these steps there is no need to reconnect to the Terminal Server if you have already logged in. The changes will be applied immediately.
