Black Ice Software is proud to announce the release of Annotation’s for Chrome and Microsoft Edge Extensions with the latest TIFF Viewer version 12.94.

The TIFF Viewer Chrome/Edge Extension may now become a replacement for the TIFF Viewer Desktop application for Windows.

The Tiff Viewer Chrome and Microsoft Edge Extension now include all of the major features of Tiff Viewer Desktop version like Viewing Multipage Tiff Documents, OCR Documents, and add Annotation to documents. The Chrome and Microsoft Edge Extension also includes support for MODI (Microsoft Office Document Imaging) and legacy Wang annotations.

The Chrome Extension includes the following annotation objects:

• Signature
• Note
• Comment
• Redact
• Highlight
• Text
• Rubber Stamps (There are 28 common stamps)
• Arrow / Line
• Ellipse
• Rectangle
• Rounded Rectangle
• Image annotation (Stamp)

One of the other critical improvements we made to the Tiff Viewer Chrome Extension is drastic changes to how the Chrome extension downloads the Tiff Files. This was done to resolve security restrictions like Proxy server and other related security issues such as users’ logging into an application with the Chrome Browser to access tiff files in the DMS (Document Management system), such as Office 365 SharePoint, an EMR, or EHR application.

With Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) reaching End of Life, it is no longer consider to be HIPAA compliant. The Black Ice Tiff Viewer is capable of viewing, editing and printing scanned/faxed TIFF images and other image types, resulting in an ideal substitute for MODI. When paired with the Black Ice Printer Drivers users can convert any file format to Tiff, PDF and more. The evaluation copy of both solutions is fully functional for 15 days with free priority technical support during your evaluation.
