Black Ice Software released BiLPDManager version 2.58 which includes many significant improvements such as Administrators can now configure the number of threads assigned to a queue and printer. This is helpful when combined with parallel printing to multiple printers, which was added in an earlier release. These features when combined allow administrators to send parallel incoming print jobs to an assigned printer and selectively assign more resources (threads) to a queue/printer with larger workloads, preventing any bottlenecks in the system.

To help resolve any issues faced during a print job, we added debug logging to the BiLPDManager and separated application logging from debug logging for troubleshooting.
Many user interface improvements were added to improve usability and simplify the BiLPDManager configuration and setup process.

The BiLPDManager is now a subscription based licensing due to the large number of improvements in 2020 that made the BiLPDManager the best high volume document converter application from UNIX, Linux, or AS400. Existing customers with a perpetual license and support contract with will receive updates and support as long as they renew and maintain their support contract.

The BiLPDManager “Filter Unix text file [CRLF]” was also rewritten to eliminate some random problems, while simplifying it to make it more reliable.
