The latest Tiff Viewer now includes the ability for Administrators to limit Users' access to certain features of the TIFF Viewer and also a faster and more accurate OCR!

One of the common requirements from our corporate and government customers is to limit the User's access to certain features and functions to prevent unwanted or accidental modifications to the Tiff Documents.

For example; administrators may need to have users Annotate a document but prevent users from accidentally “burn-in” the annotation, which permanently changes the document.
Other customers do not want the users to make any alteration to the document but still have access to OCR and export certain parts of the document into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) application.

Limiting users' access to the Tiff Viewer features helps provide peace of mind for System Administrators as they now full have control over the security of documents viewed in the Tiff Viewer application.

The Administrator will have the ability to preconfigure what features the user can/cannot access with the Tiff viewer during Installation using the MSI installer. Please see the MSI Installation guide for technical details.

Limiting users access to certain features is currently not available in the Google and Microsoft Chrome Extension or the IE Browser Plug-in.

Additional improvements were made to the Tiff Viewer OCR to speed up the OCR process by 14% based on 50-page documents.

With Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) reaching End of Life, it is no longer consider to be HIPAA compliant.
