Black Ice Software has added an Administrator tab to the Printer Manager, helping domain Administrators to configure and control the Black Ice virtual printer driver for All Users on Servers and Desktop computers! In Active Directory domains with a large number of computers, managing users and privileges it is no longer a daunting task for Administrators. Administrators can streamline configuration with the click of a mouse.

Administrators can now disable any Features/Tabs for all users with a single click, preventing users from changing the configuration of the printer driver such as OCR, email sending, FTP uploading and more! Administrators can even create unique configurations for a single User or a Group of users.

Administrators also can now configure logging capability for all users simultaneously, helping to speed up troubleshooting, isolate printing problems, and isolate inconsistent printing applications.

The Black Ice Printer Driver Event Viewer Logging can also now be configured to generate an event in the Event Viewer for every single successfully print job. The event will include the Printer Name, Document Name, User Name, Computer Name and more information. The Event logging allows Administrators to track the print jobs generated by the Black Ice Printer Driver, which can be beneficial in workplaces where information security is paramount.
