How to monitor multiple directories

The BiBatchConverter Service can monitor multiple subdirectories inside the Monitored (Input) folder and each directory can use a different conversion profile. One directory can contain files that are converted to PDF and another directory can contain files that are converted to TIFF. The processed documents will be moved to the Converted (Output) folder. The BiBatchConverter will mirror the folder structure of the Monitored (Input) directory into the Converted (Output) folder and move the generated documents to the appropriate subdirectory inside the Converted (Output) folder. Please refer to the Set up profile-based conversion section. To start the BiBatchConverter Service, please refer to the Starting the conversion section of the manual.

To enable the monitoring of multiple directories, please check the Process Subdirectory checkbox on the BiBatchConverter Service Manager > Configurationwindow > Conversion tab as shown below.

To mirror the folder structure of the monitored directory and keep the converted documents organized, users can also enable the Map Processed Subdirectories option. To read more about options on the Conversion tab, please refer to the Conversion Settings section of the manual.

The next step is to create the appropriate subdirectories in the Monitored (Input) folder. The BiBatchConverter Service will monitor every subdirectory in the monitored folder. The default monitored directory is:

<<USERPROFILE>>\Documents\Black Ice BiBatchConverter\Monitored

If every configuration and directory is set, please click on the Start Conversion button to start the BiBatchConverter Service.

For example:

User-created subdirectories in the Monitored folder:

C:\Users\Tester\Documents\Black Ice BiBatchConverter\Monitored\Invoices

C:\Users\Tester\Documents\Black Ice BiBatchConverter\Monitored\Contracts

The BiBatchConverter will convert the files in the subdirectories and move the generated files into the appropriate folder of the Converted (Output) directory. The original files in the subdirectories of the Monitored (Input) folder will be moved to the mirrored subdirectories of the Processed folder.

Subdirectories in the Output folder:

C:\Users\Tester\Documents\Black Ice BiBatchConverter\Output\Invoices

C:\Users\Tester\Documents\Black Ice BiBatchConverter\Output\Contracts

Subdirectories in the Processed folder:

C:\Users\Tester\Documents\Black Ice BiBatchConverter\Processed\Invoices

C:\Users\Tester\Documents\Black Ice BiBatchConverter\Processed\Contracts
