The Tiff Viewer can be preconfigured for all Users on the system by using the MSI Installer with the INI file. The INI file used during installation will be referenced as the primary INI file.
The Tiff Viewer will create a secondary INI file for each user that the user can access. The user’s INI file will be referenced as User INI file.
The primary INI file is located in the Tiff Viewer installation folder:
By default on 64-bit operating systems:
For the 32-bit Tiff Viewer, and for Tiff Viewer versions below 13.30:

For the 64-bit Tiff Viewer:

The primary INI file has the preconfigured settings used at the installation and all the settings found on the Administrator tab in Tiff Viewer Options. The following INI file options can be modified or enabled only by the Administrator in the primary INI file: ‘Enable_File_Navigation’, ‘Enable_Thumbnail_Browser’, ‘Enable_Send_In_Email’, ‘Enable_Upload_To_SharePoint’, ‘Enable_OCR’, ‘Enable_Scan’, ‘Enable_Redact’, ‘Enable_Copy’, ‘Enable_Cut’, ‘Enable_Paste’, ‘Enable_Burning_Annotations’, ‘Enable_Page_Move’, ‘Enable_Page_Cut’, ‘Enable_Page_Insert’, ‘Enable_Page_Merge_Text_With_Image’, ‘Enable_File_Split’, ‘Enable_File_Cut’, ‘Enable_File_Delete’, ‘Enable_Color_Mode_Color’, ‘Enable_Color_Mode_Gray’, ‘Enable_Color_Mode_Mono’, ‘Enable_Change_Resolution’, ‘Enable_Rotation’, ‘Enable_Flip’, ‘Enable_Invert’, ‘Enable_Crop’, ‘Enable_Signature’, ‘Enable_Cleanup_Clean_Slow’, ‘Enable_Cleanup_Deskew’, ‘Enable_Cleanup_Punch_Hole’, ‘Enable_Cleanup_Black_Border’, ‘Enable_Cleanup_Lines’, ‘Quick_Copy_Page_Limit’, ‘Enable_SharePoint_Upload’, ‘Enable_Send_Email’.
NOTE: In order to make sure users cannot edit the primary INI file of the TIFF Viewer, install the Tiff Viewer into the default directory, or make sure the Tiff Viewer is installed into a directory which can be modified only by the Administrator.
The User INI files are located at:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Black Ice Tiff Viewer\TiffViewer.ini
The User INI file is generated when Tiff Viewer runs for the first time. Once a User changes any of the Tiff Viewer options, the changes are written into only the User INI file.
NOTE: If the User manually deletes settings from the User INI file, Tiff Viewer will look for the missing settings in the primary INI file.
