August 22, 1999 – Amherst, NH – Black Ice Software has released Impact Color Fax software, the latest addition to their extensive line of fax and voice communication software. Impact Color Fax is a full-featured fax software that offers color and monochrome faxing, fax on demand and fax broadcast capabilities. Additional features include Automatic printing, Cover page editor, Annotation tools, View and zoom on displayed image, and a phonebook with import/export capability. The Color Fax Software also offers TWAIN support for Scanners. Files may be opened and saved in JPEG, JPEG Group 3,TIFF, BITMAP, PNG, and PCX file formats. The software will send and receive faxes in the background allowing the user to access other projects while faxing.

Impact Color Fax was designed with a user-friendly interface that is similar to the MS Inbox

It includes user configurable folders including the default Inbox, Outbox and Sent Items. It also has a modem auto detect and auto configure installation feature. Impact Color Fax Software is compatible with all Class 1 modems.
