Black Ice Software Announces Impact Fax Server 8.0 Release - The Ideal Small Office Vista Fax Solution.

Amherst, NH June 1, 2007 -- Black Ice Software, LLC (“Black Ice"), a worldwide provider of imaging, printing and communication applications and development tools, today announced the release of Version 8 of Impact Fax Server, a Microsoft Windows based software package for networked faxing. Using the Impact Fax Server a business can consolidate their fax resources into one machine and provide fax capability to their users via email, a Microsoft Office Outlook client or a stand alone client. A scalable solution, the Impact Fax Server can support a small office with a single fax line and a few desktops to a large business requiring multiple T1 trunks and DID lines (** fax hardware is not included).

With version 8 of the Impact Fax Server, Black Ice Software now incorporates User-Mode printer driver technology to increase reliability and security by moving operations away from the computer's kernel and also now includes support for 64 bit Windows operating systems and Microsoft’s Vista operating system.

“Impact Fax Server has proven to be a popular alternative to many now discontinued fax solutions for the small to medium business market. With this release we are happy to be supporting Windows Vista and the 64 bit versions of Vista, 2003 and XP,” reported Thomas O'Toole, Black Ice Software’s Product and Marketing Director.

Impact Fax Server supports both com port based fax modems and in an Enterprise version that supports Enterprise level fax hardware such as the intelligent fax boards from Dialogic and Cantata Technology.
